Rokeby Venus

research, writing, design & image making

In collaboration with Noam Malka and Ella Joel.  The project explores the fascinating
story of the Rokeby Venus painting by Velázquez. In 1914 Mary Richardson entered the the
National Gallery in London and slashed the painting as an act of protest. Later it was reconstructed by the gallery.
The project presents the multiple aspects of the painting, and how its history and
reputation affected its value, before and after the attack.
